Prof. Dr. Stephan Klebe is a senior consultant at the Dept. of Neurology at University Hospital of Essen.

He is co-investigator of the project SP2: "German Dystonia Registry: Natural History, Epidemiology, Genetics, and Clinical Trial Resource".

He has been trained in Movement Disorders and Neurogenetics at the Department of Neurology at the University of Kiel and at the Salpetriere Hospital in Paris. The biobank at the Salpetriere Hospital is one of the largest biobank for Neurodegenerative diseases worldwide (INSERM U975, Paris). As a member of the French Parkinson Study Group, the “European Huntington Network” and the German Network for Motoneuron Disease he has extensive experience with biobanking and register studies.
